Me.

I’m a journalist, author, editor, copywriter, comms specialist and content strategist specialising in the outdoors and adventure. Need someone to write about a new ultra? I’ll do it (and test some gear at the same time)! Want some epic copy about a pointy mountain range? Need to interview a base-jumper about what makes them tick, or to explore a story about gender disparity in extreme sports?

After the best part of a decade spent as a head of communications and content strategist I can work with your comms and marketing team to work on brand identity, generate some sparkling copy and build a media plan that’ll catch the eyes of journalists everywhere. I’m handy in a crisis and have been known to manage war-rooms, build playbooks and draft speaking notes for global companies caught in the throes of disaster.

I put the hours in

I love life and try to give energy to absolutely everything I do – whether that’s at work or in the mountains

Over the past decade, I’ve worked with companies including Deloitte, Microsoft, Vesuvius Group and Unilever to introduce diversity and inclusion initiatives, support the shift to ESG and develop greener purpose, vision and values. Brought in as a safe pair of hands to develop communications products and campaigns that resonate with everyone, from factory workers to senior executives. More fun/relevant experience: What qualifies me to cover outdoors and adventure brands and products? I live life like an adventure. I ran across Scotland overnight in January this year. I’ve run 100km and 70km mountain races. I cycled across England on a whim. I fastpacked the Dolomites, ran the Camino do Santiago and did a winter fastpack of Iceland’s Laugevegur Trail. Next year I’m hoping to break the women’s record for the fastest duathlon across Europe.
